Omer, this is great! very high-end details again. I haven't any putty experience but I can imagine how to be dusty that works.
I hope we can see the happy end soon mate!
As you know I don't like countryman's but after this views of your car I can change my mind..

Omer you are a class act when it comes to detail in the 1:18s. That will be a stunning model when finished.

thats a great idea Brian! could you please stick a photo of the very first test car please?
This is a picture from early days of testing. Not sure from what subaru it is (looks like an s14 but im not up to date with my subaru wings).

thanks Michael, you also have very nice code3 builds in your collection mate

thank you Maurice! I am just trying to build as accurate as I can

Halil, good to see you around after a long time.
putty was an interesting experience for me as I tried couple of different compounds earlier to see the difference and decided to go with the Polyester Putty which was one of the most dusty one hehehe
and same here, as a road car the countryman is ugly, but when it comes to a tarmac babe, I just like the way and sound she is....

cheers Simon, thanks for the support

thanks for the photo Brian, the wing they used looks more like a Xsara one...
I guess I will try my luck with the original one...

Re: I am the mini, yeppp the Mini ;)
I guess not much going on in the 'Models In progress' section. so, would like to share some updates with you guys
had some progress in the engine bay during the week nights....
first the reference...
and then the build...
first I build the intercooler supports (no photos in here :)but see the bar between the chassis strengths and then detailed the engine bay...
and the engine mount strengths
I will add the engine mounts at later stage while installing the engine.
and continue to strengthen the chassis
and I decided to build a bigger, accurate differential tunnel. so, I marked down the places I need to cut and build the new differential tunnel.
and here is after I do the cuttings and added some strength bars.
I hope to build the differential tunnel and the interior floor pan during this weekend.
hope to give you guys more updates soon...

some more updates from last weekend...
I tried to finish the floor panel. and also started the roll cage. half way done with the cage tho, still have to do the rest of the cage....
so, let the photos do the talking
and the cage
and this is how the cage and floor panel looks inside the car at the moment...
that's about it for now...

Steve,
glad you liked my work mate.
I am using 3mm's Tamiya Round, Clear Soft Plastic Beams.
they are easy to bend and work with

Thanks for that, Omer.
Hadn't seen the 'plastic beams' before. Do you need to heat them before bending them? Cheers, Steve

no need steve, as they are soft, it's easy to bend and shape by hand.
just make sure to buy the soft ones, as there are also hard ones...

Re: I am the mini, yeppp the Mini ;)
Thanks Omer, that's really helpful. Looks like there's a 2mm version too, which might be more appropriate for the 1/43 scale models I make.
There don't seem to be any suppliers in Europe (on eBay, anyway) but they are not too expensive even from America, so that's a possibility.
Many thanks, Steve

Re: I am the mini, yeppp the Mini ;)
No worries Steve,
hope it works for your 1/43's as well. I guess 2mm might be a bit thick for the 1/43. so, my suggestion try to look something thinner maybe? Alternatively, you can also check Evergreen Scale models brand as well. they also have a wide variety of range...

Re: I am the mini, yeppp the Mini ;)
Hi guys!
I need some help and hoping hand from you all.
I need to have photos of the rear end of the car, especially the suspension and the exhaust.
I am wondering if there is any silencer or is it straight from engine? how do the two exhausts split?
tks in advance....

That i dont know Omer.
I dont think there would have been a radical change to the design of the mini at that stage, as it would have been homologated by then, and Prodrive were short on cash so it may have remained the same
