Not for me there aren't - with the exception of any TR7 V8s, Minis and Metros (6R4s and more 'regular' cars, albeit that many Metros were space-framed anyway). In other words anything that was built in either Longbridge or Cowley!

Mark, is that John Moloney's steed? I'm expecting that it is.... in which case, does anyone have a rear or rear 3/4 view? If so, it's all I need to get going with this missing link!!
To me, the colour used looks similar to Austin 'Applejack' green, s used on some early Mk1 Metros, which woud make some sense. Anyone have a better suggestion?
Thanks again, Mark. Cheers, Steve

Re: I've finally fnished something!!!
This is definitely my longest running project, started it way back in 2010 and it's been an on/off project ever since.
Did a bit on it, left it, did a bit more left it again for several months and so on, but I finally finished it today, so it really does fit the thread title of it being finally finished.
Lots of work involved, and lots of cutting/grinding/drilling/filling/sanding; Front valance cut off, bumper holes filled, bonnet vent filled and new vent cut out nearer windscreen, single wiper conversion, door pods cut off reshaped/filled/smoothed, rear lower valance cut off, window vents cut out, complete new larger rear wing and end plates built from scratch, re-paint, homemade decals and finally done
Rob Gibson MG Metro 6R4 from 1991 British Rallycross Grand Prix, although when Rob finished it was missing half the bodywork
Photos are not great I'm afraid

That looks the absolute 'dogs' Simon, it really does. Well done mate - very impressive!
Your 1991 British Rallycross Grand Prix collection must really be blossoming by now. How about starting a dedicated new thread for the subject, almost like Billy does every few days for his model themes?

Excellent!
Very unrealistic though, try dropping it once or twice and it will look more like the real thing.

Re: I've finally fnished something!!!
Many thanks for the kind words David.
I could start a thread for the 1991 Rallycross Grand Prix cars but it's only 4 at the moment; all 6R4s I will have to look back in my program to see which car to do next, that's after all the other builds I need to get finished
I'll pm you with an update

It would have saved you a lot of work if you'd chosen that version.Simon6R4 wrote:Yeah more cutting!! Remove the wings, the bumper and half the bonnet and might look like the real thingJuha wrote:Excellent!

Re: I've finally fnished something!!!

Hi Simon,
Congrats on your Gibbo model. Nice work
So, for your 1991 RX GP collection you've got: Rob Gibson, Dermot Carnegie, Steve Palmer (Panasonic livery), Will Gollop????? Is that right? Please do post a piccie of them together, would make a great grouping.
Are you heading to Lydden over the Bank Holiday weekend? I hope so, I'll be there, probably the Sunday only. Let me know.
Cheers, Steve
