Nah wouldn't be mad about one of them if it was a Mk2.M3.6R4.555.Cosworth.400 LX.WRC.F2.S1600 then I might have some interest in it [/quote]
Excellent Eamonn McAleenan rallied one of them so I will take one.

Re: DRM Members Model.... Suggestions & Chat Thread
.
Continuing on from the other thread..........
.
OK Lad's the results are now in and we have our TOP 5 List.... well it turned out to be 6!!
OVERALL RESULTS FROM THE SUGGESTIONS LIST BELOW
Frank Meagher Escort Cosworth WRC 1999 Lurgan Park or 1999 Donegal Rally.......................... 12
Billy Coleman Rothmans BMW M3...................................................................................... 11
Stevie Murphy StatOil Escort Cosworth WRC Cork 20............................................................ 11
Dennis Bickerstaff Feckin Irish 6R4.................................................................................... 10
John Price's Duckhams 6R4.............................................................................................. 9
Connie Smith Escort MKll Donegal International 1997............................................................ 9
As there are 2 models on 11votes and 2 models on 9votes we've ended up with a list of 6 models going through to the next and last round of voting,
There's 2 ways of doing the next round of voting,
I can set up a poll were you only get 1 vote so you can only vote for 1 model,
Or I can set it up so you have multi-votes, unfortunately I can't limit the votes so you could in theory vote for them all,
Really you should only vote for the models in the above list that you want to see as a DRM Forum Model,
For me the 2nd option with multi-votes would be better as it will give the members who are not fussed on what model is done a chance to vote giving a true figure of how many models would be ordered or made,

Billy I'll add your vote to the list,
I was trying to hold off until you got home but my PM box was filling up fast with people looking results,
The Manta's and Ascona didn't look like they were going to make the cut so I knew your vote wouldn't change the final top models,
I see what you did with your vote in going with the majority and picking the top models, fair play mate, cheers,
I'm using the phone here and it's a ballix to see the pages/forum properly so I'll reply to everyone when I get home,
Cheers

Re: DRM Members Model.... Suggestions & Chat Thread
My view is that we are now past the beauty contest stage. We are now at the business end and a vote for a model should now be considered an order for that model. Otherwise we could end up with a model that forum members would like to see done but won't buy. There are 3 models I would be willing to buy and so would vote for all 3.

I understand James what you are saying about you would vote for 3 models that you would like to see done. If it goes to voting for more than one model it could end up that way that forum members would like to see a model built but do not buy. One vote for your favorite model would do away with that.
Now this is just my opinion. It is up to the lads who are running this thread. I will vote either way.

I can help out with the Feckin Biggerstaff 6R4 Mal, as I am literally copying and pasting from a previous post! I'll dig out photos of the Price 6R4 later, and leave anyone else to post photos of the other models if they wish to do so.Mal wrote:Is someone able to post up photos of the actual cars? Either way I believe that anyone voting in this round is voting with their pocket - its a commitment to buy that model. It will save another list being compiled of those willing to buy the model. If a cut off is date is put on this vote and a winner declared then additional names can be added to the list of those who voted for the winner.
I suppose what I am saying is that the only peoples vote that count at the end of the day are those willing to put their hands in their pockets.

Re: DRM Members Model.... Suggestions & Chat Thread
That's as I understand it too James - we're voting to BUY the model of our choice!
It's a commitment, and each vote submitted in the next round for the winning model, should be taken as a firm commitment that the voter wants to purchase said model. Voters that voted elsewhere should then be given an opportunity to buy the winner if they so desire.
What will be interesting is to see how many members had one of those six models down as their favourite model from the choice, and how many had the same model down as their 5th favourite. If 12 members had the Meagher Escort down as their favourite, and some of them had the Biggerstaff 6R4 down as their 5th favourite, then... ...well, I think you can imagine what is going to happen in the final shoot-out when we each only have one vote!
