Removal of door cards and glass from Sunstar Escort MK II doors
How can this be done without breaking the door card?

Its a major flaw with the sunstar mk2. Its so difficult to remove them with out pulling at least on of the bits through. Pity through wouldnt go back and re do the door, so the frame is part of the door, not the plastic.
Was taking apart one yesterday and i used a flat head screw driver to get in behind and push out at the stud. Got one of them off ok, the other pulled one through.
But theres no skill involved, its completely down to luck whether it breaks or not

I broke one last nigh. But have the other soaked in Dettol to soften the glue. I winder too if they are put into off the boil hot water will the glue soften.

Could melt the plastic if the waters too hot.
Dettol might work. Ive been using it for other jobs since you mentioned it before.
On the David James escort im building, i broke both doorcards getting them out. But since its a more modern car, i just cut out the rest of the moulded in detail and replaced it with plasticard. Im trying to get away from the older look sunstar have on the interior
