Finally have the Meeghan and Nesbitt car back. Nesbitt car was off being sprayed by Peter in Cork as decals would be a nightmare around the rear. Meeghan car was with him as well to get the same coloured strips on side. They will be beside each other in the display case, and I'm a bit pedantic that the colors need to match.

To say I'm pleased with them is an understatement. I felt the Meeghan car was going to be a bit plain compared to the rest of the collection but it certainly holds its own. The bonnet is empty though as I cannot find any pictures at all. But its correct until pictures can prove otherwise. The Nesbitt car looks incredible, and second only to the Connolly car in my whole collection. Peter did an amazing job on the paint here. He repainted it several times until he got it right.

I'm currently rebuilding my display cases for these, and adding some LED lights, hiding the wiring and painting the base black so the models really pop. Hope to have some pictures soon, but will have these on display for the Model show in Drumtarrif later in the year where you can see them in the flesh, as pictures really dont do some of these justice. Been a long road to get them all done (Jan 2011 I started the artwork on the Connolly car), looking forward to getting them all together in the cases.

Congrats on perservering, Brian. I'm delighted you're so pleased with the results - I know that feeling, and also the not so nice one when a model doesn't deliver in the flesh! Grrrr!

Just a heads up that Ixo have done a new 1/18th mould for the Altaya part work. Its been released as the Beguin Corsica car minus the ciggy decals however should be a potential source of cheap(ish) bases if you need any more!
