theme of your collection?

ok so we all collect rally models, very funny.......
i've been thinking lately about the number of potential future releases that may/may not come out, eg Delta S4, more 6R4's, maybe 3 different Celicas, Legacys, Gallants, Chevettes, Nissan RS's, TR7's, etc,etc, and would have impact on my main collection simply due to the space required, so was considering revising my main collection in readiness.......this got me to thinking about the different themes we all have our displays based on.....so what are they?
i know of a few on here (Irish 1:43, Fisher only, Belga only, etc) but give us a short, sharp summary of your display theme.....purely for nosiness if course lol!!!!

I'll start us off....
I have 4 themes in my overall collection....
1. 1:18 World Rally 1970-2010 (perhaps to be revised ) (limited to 84 models at any one time due to space)
2. 1:18 Irish
3. 1:18 Vatanen
4. 1:43 Mantas
5. 1:18 Mantas (mini-theme hopefully to consist of Brookes,McRae and Collins British C'ship cars)

next?.....................

3. More Manta's
4. And More Manta's
5. 1:43 Ascona's
6. Just starting on the 1:18 Ascona's - this could get expensive!
7. Andrews HFH / Brookes Cars
8. Belga rally models, only got 3 in 1:18 and the 1:43 collection is growing
9. 'CRACK' livered rally models
10. Various other random Vauxhall rally models such as Chevette's, Astra's, Nova's, Calibra etc....
11. Have some odd ball MKII Escort's and Audi's, nothing elusive really.

One theme, totally biased, completely blinkered... ...1/43 MG Metro 6R4s! With a miniscule fraction of Rover Vitesses!

A few themes for me, nearly all 1/43 plus a very small number in other scales;

1. Metro 6R4s
2. Rallycross
3. Group B
4. Pikes Peak
5. Trophee Andros
6. 1990s BTCC
7. Various other unusual Rally or other cars that take my fancy

Here it goes, all 1/43...

1. WRC title winning drivers in their title winning year (1 car for each year)
2. 6R4's
3. Belgian drivers
4. Belgian rallies (special interest for Belga/Bastos/Boxy's/Vergokan/Structo models)
5. Heat for Hire
6. Sunbeam Lotus
7. Martini & Totip Lancias
8. RAC winning Escorts
9. Ford (intended as an overview of its rallying history, but it doesn contain 30 Escort Cosworth/WRC's)
10. Various Opels (same as above, but including a dozen asconas)
11. Juha Kankkunen
12. Mohammed Bin Sulayem
13. Rallycross
14. Equipe National Belge/Ecurie Francorchamps racing cars (mostly Ferrari)

There's often an overlap between themes: Belga 6R4, Kankkunen Belga Celica, Heat for Hire Sunbeam/Opel, ...

And then there are those which "I bought because I like them", no wonder I have so many models.

My collection doesnt really have a theme, mainly since nothing is on display.

I have a few 1/43 models, mainly from the 90s. They would be cars that are iconic to me. They may never have won anything, but they are the cars i remember from growing up in that time.

My 1/18 collection is a miss match of everything. But 95% of the models i have will be base models for something Irish if it ever turns up.

I am working towards having a Eamon Boland display though, a few one offs should make the collection stand out a bit

My display cabinets (2 at present! ) contain solely 1/43 scale models, just nudged past the 200 barrier!

The theme is straight-forward: Post war BMC/ BL/ Austin Rover/ Rover Group and MG Rover cars. Many of the cars are road cars, with an increasing proportion of rally and rallycross cars (strange that, eh! ). I therefore have the following marques present:

Austin
Daimler
Jaguar
Land Rover
Leyland (an unusual Autralian built Leyland P76 from the early 1970s)
LDV (vans!)
MG (sub-divided into MG Metro 6R4s approx 40) and 'all other MGs)
Mini (just 'proper Minis, no BMW DNA, thanks!, of which I have over 50)
Morris
Rover
Vanden Plas
Wolseley.

I'm hoping to get a third display cabinet some time in the future, and expect it to be solely for 6R4s. We'll see. The gaps between the models keeps shrinking, so I can't see them so well!

1/1 road cars, I forgot that one. It's the only collection where the numbers are reduced from time to time. The best We've done was 5 at once.

1) 1/43 WRC winning drivers - 1 car from each year they were champ unless you are Waldegaard who drove a Merc the same year as his Escort
2) 1/43 WRC winning manuacturers - 1 car from each year unless the model changed mid year and the different models both won events ie 8v Delta to 16v Delta
3) 1/43 WRC winning drivers - 1 of each driver who has won a WRC event
4) 1/43 BRC winners since 1970 something (unless it was in a Ford where i have a few earlier ones)
5) 1/43 non winning Fords from WRC or other events if not covered by the above
eg GT70
6) 1/43 F1 Driver and Manufacturer Champs ( Ford/Cosworth engined only) since inception - 1 of each
7) 1/43 F1 Ford Engined scope creep cars driven by drivers i admire ie Senna Mclaren Ford
1/43 Ford BTCC/ETCC/WTCC cars - 1 of each variant made but primarily overall or class winners
9) 1/43 dream garage cars - 1 of each RS/AVO variant made plus exotics
10) 1/43 variants of cars ive owned if not covered by the dream garage
11) until last year, 1 of each variant of Dakar winning car - sold them to make cabinet space

Replicating the full line-up of parked up Clubman cars at the works is cheating, that would be too easy.

I have a lot to sell coming up as I am going to concentrate on only three areas at present. So as I sell some outside of these areas hopefully I will be able to pick up more within my selected areas.

1) Metro 6R4 - can't remember how many but can't rival anyone on here.
2) Ford Escort MK11 & RS2000 - not too bad quantity wise.
3) Anything Colin McRae - this one is coming along fine with quite a selection so far.
