The Eifel Rally 2014 is at the top of our hit list for rallies to see in 2014.
Any details of where to stay, where to go, difficulties, what we must do etc...would be very appreciated.
Cheers

To say the entry list is excellent would be an understatement...

Looks great - no plans to build a model of it but have always had a soft spot for the Lancia Beta Montecarlo - would like to see some snaps of that!

Event getting increasingly more popular -150 cars this year up from 130 last year so book early. Campsites through to luxury hotels on the menu. I booked a hotel for the weekend at a rate of 48 euros per person sharing for b&B approx 15 mins from Daun. Daun is approx 20 mins south of the Nurburgring so no shortage of accomodation and 45 mins north west of Frankfurt Hahn so Ryanair is a real option. Worth going for the friday - head for the airstrip if nothing else only to witness one of the maddest traffic jams imaginable with all 150 cars coming out the one exit. Interviews, open air party and big screen rally videos in the centre of Daun and all cars on view on Friday night. Parking in the town is very restricted. I'm not the one to ask about spectating.

Re: Eifel 2013
That list gets better every time i read it. I just googled the Wheeler RS200 and i hadn't appreciated until now that Ford were preparing a Group S version. Found this article.

There must be a builder out there who could make this??

Hi James,
If you could get some snaps of the 6R4 so I can make up some decals, that would be superb!
Very many thanks, Steve

Good point, James.
My 6R4 radar wasn't working properly and only spotted the Berghaus one, but yes, there are two (at the mo'!), so both, please boys!
Oh boy! I love making the more unsual, historic cars but to have some current cars as well is excellent, so possibly two more builds for me! Wehay!
Cheers, Steve

Before anyone gets too carried away one of the stipulations set down by the organisers is that the cars must either be ex works or run in works colours. So apart from doorplates and drivers names and maybe some famous autographs on the cars there may be little difference to what you may already have in your collections. The works colour thing is what sets this event apart- the whole nostalgia bit.

Hi James,
Thanks for clarifying things. I'm now going to get carried away in another way.... by being carried off!
