Opel Manta 400

Folks now that I have the Frank Kelly Mk2 and the three Alan Ring models set in train there are a few more I am determined to get made. There are a few one offs also being done but they are not "commercial". We all know that it takes months of planning so my hope is that the above models will all be with us at latest by Christmas 2013.

It is highly unlikely that the Airikkala Manta will win the beauty contest that is the DRM model and so I am planning to get it done. Any help with close up photos will be appreciated. james@cjandco.net

I have been asked by rally people close to me at home to get the AJ Keating Manta 400 done. I think I have enough photos sorted for this. I mention it because whoever will do the mantas will need a critical mass of base models and 2 are better than one.

On a longer term there are 2 Peugeot 106 cup cars - Garry Jennings and the late Rory Galligan. The latter has been requested by a member of the family and in both cases photos are scarce so again any help with photos will be much appreciated.

James I'd be up for both the Manta's Airikkala & AJ Keating as well as a Jennings 106,
I'll keep an eye out for updates and in the meantime I'll see if I can find some photo's

Would be interested in the Keating manta myself too. Had looked at this in 1/18, but i dont think its something ill get around to doing

I don't mean to cut across plans from any builder. As with the other models I would be delighted if a builder on here wants to take up any of the models and run with it. I had a very extensive wish list with a number of years now and it looks like the only way they will get done is for me to grab the bull by the horns and get them done. If there are others on here interested then so much the better.

Is the Jennings 106 the yellow one he had & is it the white or black Rory Galligan 106?

I would not be an expert in Galligan cars so I would bow to those with superior knowledge in this regard. I was asked to get "a" model done as sometimes happens. Hence I am open to suggestions (photos permitting). I would imagine the Championship winning car would be the one to do.

Jennings is the yellow car.

Need I say anything James? Just the 2 (Penti and Keating) for me please but I can't help with photo's I'm afraid! (Talking to a friend and he'd have a Penti Manta too, so make that 3 in total for me!)

I have been squirriling away various logos over the years and have the Telecom stuff on Penttis Manta-the Telecom logo and the script.

Rory as it stands there is no one definite. I have spoken to one or two who would have a client base outside this forum which when added to interest here might make them possible. If all else fails I have a fallback builder who will do a specific number. If it comes to that i will put the agreed price up here and those still interested can then make up their minds.

If you will build the models in the near future you can either pm me or set out your stall here. If you are offering the logos etc I will accept them with open arms.

There has recently been a mad scramble to do the latest cars- an old dinosaur like me is reliving his youth through model cars and I believe that end of the market is being neglected. Hence I have taken the bull by the horns so to speak. I have been told over a number of years now that such and such is doing one model or other and have waited. I am in contact with some of those builders and there are good and sound reasons for delays and I stayed away from getting those models done. I am now picking off some of the other "low hanging fruit". The peugeots will be done by Startup but I am currently (very)short of Peugeot photos so any help be it with contacts or photos would be much appreciated.
