UK Registration (Number) Plates
Dear All,
I was wondering which font type and size have been used to create realistic looking UK number plate decals on 1/43 scale models?
There can really be two parts to the answer to this question, seeing as the current font on the full size plates is smaller and narrower than the older plates pre-2001 (ish). Any help/ suggestions would be appreciated. Cheers, Steve

Hi Ryan,
Thanks for the info and link. I've downloaded it and it's there in Word already! Hey hey, wonders will never cease!
Only problem now is reproducing decals for the various plates I've replaced in my collection, as the proper font does look excellent, as David confirms. It's a good problem to have, though!
Cheers, Steve

Re: UK Registration (Number) Plates
I hadn't thought about downloading a new font (or two) for this purpose, and I've got the number plate font working in Word OK, which is excellent. I'll get it sorted on the desktop publisher next, which is more important for me.
I've now found another font which gives the option of the older-style 3D font as though the characters are in 3 dimensions, strangely enough!! You can use both flat and 3D depending on whether the shift button is held down or not. The link is here:
