Oliver Solberg wins ERC round at 17 years old!

Oliver Solberg son of former WRC Champion Petter, won the Liepaja rally in Latvia today a round of the ERC, at the tender age of 17! Ok so he was in a Polo R5 however even so that is a hell of an achievement. Car was carrying M plate stickers to signify an inexperienced driver!

Will be interesting to see the Solberg and Rovanpara names in the WRC in the next few years.

Dominated the event winning 10 of the 13 stages. just watched the rally on Eurosport. Not a Feista or Hyundai in sight. Mostly skodas, VWs and Citroens.

Brilliant result for young Solberg.

Like on any rally, you can only beat the cars that are on the event.

But I think Solberg and Rovenperra will be around for a few more years yet

Very impressive- ive seen footage of his driving on snow/ice when he was knee high to a grasshopper - great car control even then.
