Re: My slow progress
Very nice Dave - very nice indeed.
You know, when I saw a comment from you somewhere about the 'mirrors need moving' I thought that you'd apply your recently acquired RPM decals to one of your plain white models...
...and how right was I!
So are you going to move the wing mirrors then?...

Cheers mate .
I cant open the model to pop the mirrors out(stoopid triangle screw on the base) I think I'll just paint them.

Re: My slow progress
Doh!
I wasn't putting the photo up to show people how your model should look Dave, just to support my comment about the mirrors that's all mate. You know what these peasants are like lol - they know nothing about 'hench' British bulldog rally cars do they?
The best option might just be to paint them as you say. Don't worry though mate, I won't mention them ever again!

No no I totally understand mate. If I could remove the baseplate that was the plan anyway. Its nice to be shown whats right....any idea what the sticker is on the rear arch??

Re: My slow progress
The decals came from an RPM resin kit Simon. Quite a rarity that Dave picked up off a member on the old forum.
RPM only did Dai's 1986 National Breakdown and 1986 Circuit of Ireland models, and a plain white Clubman car. They had so many plans but those were the only three 6R4s that ever materialised I gather.

I've just had a look at some other photos from the same event, and I can't make it out mate - so there's yet another eternal unknown 6R4 sticker quest for you to solve lol!Zeus wrote:No no I totally understand mate. I have both the 86 National Breakdown & COI Rpm kits. The decals do look good on the IXO rather than the Long Wheelbase RPM kit Something for me to consider

Do it , although the pods are longer on the RPM kit so there is over lap from the decals. If you do build then put the Austin Rover on first(which I did after measuring up before decalling) so the Bilstein, Ferodo, Champion decal strip can be located properly.
