2017 BRC Events

Trying to figure this out, but it would appear Ypres is on the 2017 BRC schedule.

Excellent news! Sad that the Circuit has had to take a hiatus but great that Ypres has stepped into the fold as its a premium rally and probably the most high profile event outside of the WRC. For some purists I can understand having an "overseas" rally is a bit odd however whilst the JCMR is off the agenda then to have another top tarmac round is a must. Ferry costs etc will probably be cheaper than crossing the Irish sea and as Ypres is likely to still be in the European in 2017 will be a great showcase for the British crews. Also may encourage some Belgians to do other British rounds so got to be a win win. Plenty of other championships have had "away" events counting as higher scoring rounds in the past, ironically the Belgian series was a pioneer in this respect. Besides that its a perfect excuse to go back for me as the missus was always jealous when I went to spectate without her so one of next years holidays taken care of!
