I dont know why, but this Rallycross car doesnt quite rock my world the way a Victor RS200, T16 or S4 does. I'm not entirely surprised Victor hasn't made his own version of this.

Pop cross
In my country we use to call those Citroën 2cv the Pop Cross races. They were quite popular in the 70s, a cheap way to start in motorsport. The races were held in a gravel track, similar to autocross.
I find these little cars quite fun, and nice models, but I still have many Citroen Visa mil pistes to build and other projects, so I leave the Pop Cross models to some else.

Audi S1
This one is for my personal collection, another Audi S1, from the 1989 European rallycross championship, Swedish driver Sven Lestander. He drove this car for 3 years, with no results, but with some interesting decorations. It toke me several years to find the right pictures to build this model, based in a French Starter kit with some Scala43 wheels.

Also, this Lancia Delta S4, from Alessandrini, a Italian driver that run is Delta S4 in some events, including the 1988 edition of the Pikes Peak Hill Climb. I like this version ,,because of the big wings and nose. The kit is a Racing43 that was cut in order to show the engine . I think the HPI is more beautifull.

Re: Group B models : new models
Hi Vitor,
Beautiful models you have there, as we have come to expect from you!
It always seems a shame that someone can have invested a small fortune into a competition car like the Quattro and not have had any real results despite this. I guess that's what competition is all about! Hopefully he and his crew enjoyed themselves for those three years. What happened to the car afterwards? I suppose many of them, having had a hard life, are broken up into component parts and sold on! Cheers, Steve

Hi Vitor,
As usual, you have created more wonderful models. I will be after some decals for the Bratlei car when they are ready. Interesting colour on the Pretel car. Is that a car colour I could find a rattle can for, or is it a specialist colour?
Are the Golden Wonder decals available yet, Vitor? If so, let me know and I'll Paypal the money to you.
Many thanks, Steve

Re: Group B models : new models
The colour probably has something to do with the light, as it's supposed to be same red as on Cyril Bolton's Presspart 6R4 (which was the same car).

Re: Group B models : new models
Hi, and thank you for the comments
About the Pretel car, it`s difficult to pick the right color , since i have , in the same event, 2 different colors in 2 pictures. So I went for the Bordeaux or red wine (sorry I do not know what you call it).
I cannot tell you guys if that’s the correct color, but it's my best guess.
The White Metro of Patxi Arbelaiz is already available in decals. The Tore Bratlei and Jose Pretel will be available starting next weekend ( I`m just finishing the instructions). Contact me via PM for more details.
Thanks for the interest.

Re: Group B models : new models
I don't know what happened on the first pic, but the car should be red.

Re: Group B models : new models
Yes, but still the same paintwork for me.
I don't think he ever bothered to repaint it, but I don't know how many 6R4's he had. Was the white 6R4, which also appeared with Q979GFR, the same shell, or was it a different car altogether?
1987: red, RHD
1988: red at the first two rounds in Lloret de Mar and Murcia, still RHD
1988: fully white at its next appearance at the 5th round at Toledo, converted to LHD
1988: blue bonnet for the 6th and 7th events at Balaguer and Madrid
1989: red, again
Despite the car being LHD, the wipers were not swapped and remained in RHD configuration in 1988. The 1989 red version has LHD wipers.
This is 1989: https://2img.net/r/ihimizer/img683/300/1989josepretelracealava.jpg
Now I'm waiting for mr Sims to confirm all this, or tell me I'm just saying bullshit.

Re: Group B models : new models
Well, I guess this is something inconclusive. I still will follow the pictures i have, from a professional photographer, because scanned pictures from magazines have wrong colors, due to be ... a magazine.
