Chris, thanks for posting the link. cheers

I'll be dreaming of those sights and sounds of the Group B days in my sleep tonight! I was watching the compilation with memories flooding back of following Tony Pond's progress on the Lombard RAC Rally on CEEFAX - those were the days!! drunken  Happy days!

Thanks for sharing. Cheers, Steve

Great Chris, but i can never decide which sounds best. The 6R4 or the Quattro. Both very destinctive sounds.

All those 6R4s on the 1986 Manx were fun. Tony Pond, another much missed British driver and Dai LLewellin were superb.

In the film the Quattros in Finland up and down the jumps and all those spectators. But I am glad I did such things and witnessed the spectacle first hand. The modern recreation events are fine, but just don't have that element of madness attached.

The night stages were always full of anticipation. Why do we go to watch a night stage? First you see the lights tracing around the night sky, then you can here the engine sound and it eventually flies past you in blaze of lights and you can see f*** all!!!
