thanks for the recommendation. I will try Gundam's as well.
Mal wrote:Omer, there are two Tamiya silvers, great for doing window chrome stuff, and the black one is a Testors. First time with it and a poor substitute to the Tamiya ones. Don't think I will waste my money on them again. I also have Gundam markers and they seem ok.
thanks Mal for the info... so I am not the only suffering with Tamiya's

In that first photo I posted, I was not showing the actual work in progress area. Here is what was there. Started life as a 1/18 Aa '98 Portugal Sainz car. Decals were totally stuffed so needed to do something with it. Only kept the side and bonnet 'Castrol's, the rest is new. Since Aa did not do the Catalunya car, that is what it ended up being. Some decals are a little oversize but I am still happy with it.
this is a great result in here! congratulations. I am guessing those were Studio27 decals that were re-sized?
amazing work and result...

Omer, I am not sure where they were copied from. Bought them from Pattosplace who looks to copy a lot of stuff. He normally does stuff in 1/32, 1/43 & HO for slotcars. He has just released a new ink and I thought I would give it a try.

The Corolla is under T. Open that area and scroll down. Prices are AUD. I seem to remember a similar site based in the US. Almost appeared they were sharing stuff.

A bit of a teaser but DrT will wet his pants. Hopefully it won't cut the back of the photo off.

lol, I knew you would be a little excited. Same problem as with the McRae makeover, I ended up doing a full respray. Paint on the doors was shocking.

Custom made. To get the bright colour they are double layered.

That is the surprise. I even caught out Dr T when I showed him my plans. This is actually for him and then I will do one for me.

Re: Mal's Motorsport Emporium
Well here is the Subaru, garbage photos sorry. I actually had it 99% done when I realised the research assistant got something wrong.
So, an accurate representation of the car. Plus a tribute to how it appeared on the podium. A question for the knowledgeable UK/Irish guys, why did the car have to wear the front number plate on some stages and others it was the normal decal on the top of the bumper? (have to work out why the photos are cropping themselves on here, don't do it elsewhere but then the who post box on the left is smaller on other sites).

Glad you like it. Must admit when I first worked out from the photos I could do it, I was surprised as well. Anyway, back to the modelling table.
