Great photos Colin - I am indeed truly honoured! Shocked

Top to bottom : Dave Palmby in the Rover, then Derek Tyndal, the late Gary Midwinter, and finally Peter Lloyd.

Good answers!

Now tell me how long is the Cowley road in Oxford and how many Chinese Restaurants are there along it?

Hi Colin,

Thanks for posting the piccies. Lovely stuff! Always a joy to see some Austin Rover models being out to good use!! cheers

Just for the record, it's not just David (Cowley) who enjoys ARG/ MGR products. There are a few of us 'misfits' on here and I'm certainly glad to be one of them.

My interests extend wider and further back than Austin Rover too - anything from what was BMC/ BL is dear to my heart! Austin Healey 3000s, Triumph TRs, Dolomites, rallying Austin 1800s, rallycrossing 1100s are up my street too. Well, I wish they WERE up my street! bounce

Cheers, Steve

I know what you mean Dave, but I prefer his earlier ex-works test car - as seen here at the 1989 Birmingham Super Prix supporting Metro 6R4 race...

Is this Lurgan Park, Colin? Only reason for asking is I'm sure Dave Palmby contested it in this Rover one year. Wink

It is nice, C64WDU for me if I had the choice of any of his cars. Just trying to remember the reg no's he's had: C874EUD, E763TSD, C769NMW, C2PLR, D714CFV plus C64WDU mentioned earlier. Were there any more?

It was a very good guess mate. I do think there might be one more, but I need to dig a little first.
