Everytime I see a white one, I want a white one. When I had a white one I wanted a blue, black or red one - God mate I want one of every colour! I love it mate a Manta is for life and not just for Christmas - you did well to keep yours' for 18yrs mate, credit to you as it did look amazing - do you know where she is now?

Re: OPEL / VAUXHALL HEAVEN
aye gaz, i bought her 3 months after getting married, in dec '93; drove her 10 years, stored her for 4 then had a bad smash and was off work for a couple of years........during that time i restored her right down to bare metal.........put her back on hte road last february 2011, advertised her just to see the market, guy from maghera (small town anout 20 miles away) rang and asked for a spin........long story short, he offered a top-book price, i thought, she's never gonna be this mint again, its a good offer, and this guy will cherish and use her so her time has come..............done deal!!
paul, had my bmd plate on her when she was on the road, but changed it onto my new daily ride when the manta went off-road (so-to-speak lol!!)....new plate assigned at that time by dva, was planning to get a 200 or 400 plate or B20 EXC (Manta B 2.O l Exclusive) which was available at the time, but never had her long enough back on the road...apparently she's been seen at shows etc so is still going well....
cheers for comments guys, miss her sometimes but like many on here, i had a couple of personal issues going on at the time and would not have had the time/money/inclination required to keep these old beauties on the road.....
sorry again for the hijack gaz...

Yeah done that myself - really scary as a first timer on the 1:1 scale - I had plenty of 1:43 practice so I did OK but was a little nervy!

Re: OPEL / VAUXHALL HEAVEN
i had several debates with 'experts ' on the manta owners club forums about the rear bootlid decals...nearly everyone puts theirs on with the gte on the n/s...not until i sent them pix of original exclusives did they realise that they has theirs on the wrong way round.... i know it prob doesn't make sense but thats how it came from new.....

Re: OPEL / VAUXHALL HEAVEN
theres no doubt the vast majority of refurbed exclusives have theirs on different from the way mine were, so, like in the club debate, i think we'll have to agree to differ m8, and just take pride in the beauty of these classics.... yours is gorgeous in blue m8...
did you have a white one before that?

I had a white E reg exclusive with a valver in her - dyno'd at 200bhp after all the other mods too - now lives in glasgow. Had the engine bored out to 2.1 - modded everything! Used to go on 2 wheels round bends, scared myself a few times! Aye, she was lovely until I let her go and she rusted so had to sell! Swore I would never let that happen again which reminds me I need to get that car port built!!!!
Of course I remember mate that was where I met you first in the OMOC!

Sweet motor Billy. Shame you let her go. I had a Ex Ford Motorsport Sierra XR4x4. Sold it and regretted it even since. Would buy it back if i could find it.
