Re: 1/43 MG Metro 6R4 definitive list
I don't remember that song, was it the name of an album?
I should have bought both of Xav's models, they were bargains 5 years ago when I was offered them.Zeus wrote:I know, if only I'd have bought the Price car then Have the rest all on Skid/Ixo bases apart from the GPM prototype of courseCowley wrote:Interesting to see how few Code 3s were available at the time though - ONLY THREE!!!!!!! Andy's 2002 Price car, and both of XAVS' Bolton and Gillanders cars, and that's it! How times have changed hey?

Re: 1/43 MG Metro 6R4 definitive list
As you guys know, I had them both, but sold them in 2009 when funds were tight, along with my KMD Coleman car!
One day they will be in my collection once more.

Re: 1/43 MG Metro 6R4 definitive list
Guys, I should have been looking at this thread Tonight, Tonight, Tonight, but I got here early, That's All!
'Jesus He Knows Me' was a single released from the Genesis album 'I Can't Dance', from 1996 (I think that's the right year - I remember driving to 'Our Price' records in Weybridge at lunchtime the day it was released and taping it straight away to play it in my car. Those were the days!! ).
11 years ago, I didn't know there were any 1/43 scale 6R4s in existence apart from one I'd seen in the model shop in the grandstand at Brands Hatch. It was on display but not for sale - beutiful model with Will Gollop's black, red and gold 'Silkolene' livery. Took me quite a few years (that was back in 1987) before I got one myself!
Cheers, Steve

Re: 1/43 MG Metro 6R4 definitive list
That was 1992. I was listening to their Greatest Hits (from 1999) just yesterday, as part of my effort to go through my entire music collection in alphabetical order. Only have one Genesis CD so that part went rather quickly, followed by Kraftwerk and now moved onto Led Zeppelin.
I only started collecting 6R4 models after I had codriven in one. Looking back at my collection in 2010, it seems there's a load of Code 3 models being released now.

I ordered that one. Just waiting for him to get back from holidays to get it all sorted.
Re: 1/43 MG Metro 6R4 definitive list
Tut, come on Dave... ...the database is out of date.
I'll email Vitor for his missing order numbers as well mate.

Re: 1/43 MG Metro 6R4 definitive list
Juha mentioned them to me a week or two back, but I was waiting till he'd received his before ordering my own and saying anything to yourself or A N Other about them Dave.
It's nice because it's a different version that Vitor's!

1992 - yes, thanks Juha. 1996 was 'Calling All Stations'. Doh!
I'm in the process of getting my daughter listening to Genesis and ELO albums, two of my favourite bands. I've realised I hadn't listened to a Genesis album right through for 2-3 years, which I've put right!! I'd have known the release date off the top of my head at one point. Small, four-wheeled projects have taken my time in recent years!
Cheers, Steve

I bought a set of these decals back in May but they are still sitting with all the other decals waiting for enough 'spare' time to get them doneJOB wrote:https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=593274764028387&set=a.593274750695055.1073741839.567676046588259&type=1&theater

Re: 1/43 MG Metro 6R4 definitive list
So what does the quality look like Simon, and are they along the lines of Carlo's / Vitor's decals, ie not having individually shaped varnish?Simon6R4 wrote:I bought a set of these decals back in May but they are still sitting with all the other decals waiting for enough 'spare' time to get them done
