Re: New shop Diorama
Couple options
leave it as it is or make a frame along the front and side to put glass in
Or glear plasticard and make a shop front

Re: New shop Diorama
Shop window front would look good. Then you could have signage on it. Is this the 6R4 shop?

Re: New shop Diorama
6R4 shop yes
I will have a look when the bits start being added and decide if its to have a front, but if it looks as good as the escort one I will be happy

Shop customer figures ordered now
Need to get to start work on a counter too with display for headlamps, mirrors and other small bits
Anyone got any tarmac dymags to sell?
Might have to get them cast

Re: New shop Diorama
Quite taken back there as I just received a nice pm asking about the diorama if its forsale when done.
I wont reveal whos asked, but they have asked for first refusal on it should I sell
At the mo its not forsale as I want to see what its like first when done and see what detail gets put into it

Re: New shop Diorama
Hi Mark,
I wondered if there are going to be any MG or Rover branded shelving units in the 'shop', perhaps even a small model car display, which seemed to be in several showrooms I've been in over the years! Any chance of an 'in progress' shot or two? Would be interesting to see the diorama in progress.
I'll get back to you with a firm order for some bits and pieces in a fortnight's time, after my two shows have finished. Rehearsals and shows solidly for the next 2 weeks - all good fun, but does cramp the modelling!
Cheers, Steve

Re: New shop Diorama
Still sorting parts for the diorama, but here is the latest on it
I am going to put in a stick out skirting board in white that parts can sit on aswell as on the grid rack.
The counter will be in the top left corner

Re: New shop Diorama
Mark, that's a great looking diorama you have there, even if it has the blue oval all over it! I especially like the Dr. Evil character behind the counter!! Mwoooahahaha! Thanks for the pics, enjoying this thread!

Re: New shop Diorama
Thanks Steve
quite enjoyed doing the ford one because of the load of escort stuff I have and could do a couple more with the amount of spare stuff.
Always wanted to do a 6R4 shop too so I will put as much parts possible into it
