Re: 2019 Millstreet Vintage Club Model Toy and Diorama Show Oct 13th
Countdown is on, only 9 days left!
I had hoped to have 2 new models ready but decals wont be back on time, so im going to shift focus onto something else.My display will be more or less the same as last year, which is based on filling the to the brim. I had about 55 1/18s on display last year, will be aiming to get more out this year

Only just back in the country so didn't even mange to get to the front door this year. Word on the ground locally is that it was a resounding success with big crowds. Congrats once again to Donie , his helpers and the many exhibitors including some on here.

Re: 2019 Millstreet Vintage Club Model Toy and Diorama Show Oct 13th
Fantastic show yet again in a really great venue. Huge effort put in by Donie/Daniel and team which I think was rewarded with huge crowds through the doors. Great to meet up with several forum members again, and meeting up with Pat for the first time. Another very varied showing of rally models with an even bigger array of other model displays on show.
Unfortunately for me, I didn't have much new this year. With the 2 models I had planned not going to be ready on time, I scratch build a rally shuttle on a cheap trailer. Definitely will make another as I learned quite a bit from this one where I can improve second time around.
Quick picture while people were still setting up, venue is huge............and full. Whats not included is the exhibits outside.
Pats awesome Van and trailer set, along with his 1/24th Mantas. McHales 165 celica and a great Rothmans Metro.
Sean's great Mk2s of Ernest Kidnet and Gerard Buckley
Teds fantasitc VW Golf of Craig Breen on this years Ypres
One of my favorite models from the show from Ross's collection. Simple but stands out from all the rest on display
At the end of the day, myself and Pat decided to pool our Rothmans models to get a picture of them all together. All 1/18 except the legacy which is 1/24. Hopefully next year there will be a 1/18 legacy to add to the picture.

Sorry guys
I tried to upload 15 photos of Brians display today using "host an image" but it kept telling me the limit was exceeded, even though I scaled the resolution down to 640x480. The few that DID upload had the image names changed in the url for some reason. E.G. Brian1 became Brian111.
No to worry, there are plenty on here already.
Nice to be chatting with Ted Creedon and Brian and a few more yesterday.

My first time at the show and I must say I was taken aback with the quality and the detail that has gone into the builds. I can only imagine the time required. Fantastic. Well done to 1 and all. Didnt introduce myself as I didnt know who is who.

Re: 2019 Millstreet Vintage Club Model Toy and Diorama Show Oct 13th
It was an honour to meet and chat with so so many people on the day...............brilliant display of Rally cars as well as Tractors, farm machinery. farm lay outs ,quarrys, bog scenes.....too many to mention but i was really over the moon with the rally cars on display................we did miss James OB but he was doing what he does best..............the new DRM signs are brilliant Brian..!!!
When putting this show together i thought how can i fill this space but we did and ran out of room.........just over 1000 feet of displays....plus the biggest Remote Control display by RC modelmaniacs ....best of all were the LEGO play area and the remote control driving challenge for the kids....the tractor driving challenge raised 263 euro @ 1 euro for 3 goes..............the forum members should make this a meeting point for 2020 !!!!!!!
Thank you to all the members who graced us with their models.............you are a great bunch of lads.......Thank you again............DONIE
