Frank Meagher Book

The launch takes place next saturday evening of the Frank Meagher book in Clonmel. A request has been made for Meagher models to put on a display to mark the occasion. I have checked with Donie and we would have the 2 x mk 2's , 2 x escort Cossies, and the KMD red/blue sierra. Are there others out there that can bring what they have to the Clonmel Park or contact me or Donie and we can make arrangements. I know we are short the Duckhams Sierra and the Focus WRC.

I have a spare & for sale a Ford Escort WRC 1999 Donegal, Meagher/Maher made by Modele Skelp in Poland.

I think you are in the same boat as myself Peter - I have the Focus decals but never got around to getting a base - too late now.
I have messaged Patrick Croke on facebook and he is bringing what he has - not sure if Patrick is on here.
Having little displays on occasions such as this makes model collecting more mainstream, us seem less geeky and may just increase the market for those making and selling models.
There is a gathering in Fermoy Co Cork on Saturday 13th of August of Toyota owners with all proceeds going to the Samaritans charity which we have been invited to - only Toyota models will be on display.
We don't set out to sell on these occasions but we may be asked so if anyone has either a Meagher model they wish to sell or a Toyota  likewise please post it up here and we will pass on the details to whoever expresses an interest.

I have a focus decaled, just need to put it back together. Ill bring it along on saterday.

Dont have anything different than the rest other than a GMR seirra which I believe is the same as the KMD one

Great night at the book launch last night. Great to hear some stories for the guys that knew Frank, and it was clear that he is well loved and remembered. Great to see a celebration of his life and that even so long after his death, his memory lives on.

The book itself is great, some fantastic pictures and storys and is well put together. Definitely a must buy for anyone remotely interested Irish rallying. Between us we had a lovely little display of cars he drive over the years. Drew plenty of interest from everyone and plenty of flyers taken.

Well done guys. Sorry i dropped you in it a bit - making a commitment and then leaving you to do the donkey work. Display was impressive and the lighting set off the display case really well. Bit scary to be reading the second book written about my contemporaries.

I must say thank you to Brian & James for the models and the Display case and time and patience............i was delighted to be at such a well attended event, marking Franks life as a Competitior,Buisness man and a Family man.........it really was a super night........and i got hooked on the stories not the ones at the launch of the book but the ones told when Franks service Crew and Friends had a few drinks taken...........the crack was mighty.....priceless......James was possibly ready to Start the first stage before i got out of the Hotel.......It was a night of Memories and a Memorial Night.
