Katie,
http://www.ewrc-results.com/profile.php?p=65119&t=Enda-Nolan will give you some of the events he did. Also check out Fr Jim's Photos facebook page - nice shot of your Dad and Scoober as well as pics of the car on various events.

Turned into a very interesting thread. There are plenty of model makers on here so this could be very easily done in my mind.
Welcome aboard Katie.

Re: More Irish models - size of market
Thanks so much for all that James and everyone im going to look through those links and pictures tonight. I was talking to my brother and we thought the man who most likely did dad's signs for the car would of been Joe Fitzgibbon who has since sadly passed but we're trying to look further to see if someone would have some.
Thanks for all the replies and help. Never thought of a model car but it's all I can think about now ! Delighted I found this thread
Here's to hopefully getting it done
I am on Facebook you should be able to find me under Katie Ni Nuallain !

Katie,
If you look up Dean Hetherington on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/dean.hetherington.37?fref=ts and see if he has any details of the 7UP car, from memory he built the car with the help of Mick Dowling from Leighlinbridge and a few more of the lads from the area. I must contact Mick and see if he has any photos of the car in build or after it was completed. Unfortunately when Joe used to do the graphics it was before the modern computer programs so stuff was saved on old discs and alot of them were never labelled, I might get on to Joes son Mark and see if he can lay his hands on any old photos when the graphics were done on the car
I have lots of great memories of Enda rallying but also from meeting him around town and getting invited up to the chocolate factory ......on more than one occasion, Enda was a bad influence on my sweet tooth when I was growing up

And if anyone decides to build up some of the cars that Enda drove, make sure you include this one too
Re: More Irish models - size of market
Good news for more than just Katie -Carlo tells me the Lakes Sierra is currently being printed so it should be ready sometime in the new year. Katie the procedure is you buy the decals from Carlo (cost approx 18 euros plus postage) you get a base model normally on ebay and get one of the guys on here or others that we know to do the work. 1/43 scale model will be no more than 10 cm/4 inches long and depending on the base you use , you may not have much change out of 100 euro.
