Championships info needed
Have a great weekend all!
I am a bit confused about the championships around your territory and hope you guys can help me to clarify
What is the difference between BTRDA, BRC and Reis Asphalt Championships? there is also Historic classes....
and would you please also inform me about the Irish rally championship?
and most of all, where can I find videos about the Irish rally championship? If possible I would prefer to have day end videos which are usually 20-30 mins long..
if possible TV Broadcasts...
any suggestions and informations much appreciated.
thanks for attention.
best
Omer

Re: Championships info needed
BRC: British Championship, longer rallies on both gravel and tarmac, recce is allowed, homologated cars only.
http://www.ewrc-results.com/season.php?s=2016&nat=2
BTRDA: National championship, gravel only, shorter rallies (max 45 miles) no recce allowed, almost any car can be used, has specific classes or 2WD, 1400 Historic, etc.
http://www.ewrc-results.com/season.php?s=2016&sct=137&nat=2&t=BTRDA-Forest-Rally
Asphalt: National championship, some rallies allow a recce but not all, also open to non-homologated cars
http://www.ewrc-results.com/season.php?s=2016&sct=148&nat=2&t=MSA-Tarmac
BHRC: Historics only, no recce allowed on the gravel rounds I think.
http://www.ewrc-results.com/season.php?s=2016&sct=453&nat=2&t=British-Historic
Irish Tarmac: 2 or 3 day rallies, open to homologated and other cars (only the former score points, the latter score in the Tarmac Modified championship), recce is allowed, historic class has separate results because they don't all the stages.
http://www.ewrc-results.com/season.php?s=2016&nat=3
Irish National: 1 day rallies, both homologated and non-homologated cas can score points, historics and Juniors (25 yo max, cars up to 1600cc) do 2/3 of the rally,

Look for Special Stage programmes on Youtube and other social media platforms for BTRDA and British tarmac championship however this year with no title sponsors for these championships the footage is shorter than previous years.

Flying Finn on youtube is hard to beat for good Irish footage, they are great at finding the tricky places on stages IMO their footage is the best produced over here by anyone.

In the late 80s, there were nightly shows of the Circuit of Ireland however I dont recall any other nightly shows from other rallys.
I must gather some more DVDs and send them over to you again.
