Problem sending PM's ?

I am trying to send a PM but it only goes to my Outbox and not Sentbox. Does this mean that it has not been received as I have had no reply from my PM's for the last couple of days. My Inbox is ony 54% full. Any advice would be much appreciated.

hi jim, its my understanding that it sits in your outbox until opened by the recipient.......also you might want to post on the open forum to the recipient to clear his inbox to allow it to appear, if this also might be the problem...anyway, i'm sure the issue is at the other ed m8, not yours.... hope this helps....

Well I sent a pm to Jimb earlier this week.

It sent Ok. Currently its not in my Sent box or my Out box.

So if JimB is trying to reply to me its not in my In box either!!!

All three boxes are empty.

Ill send you a test PM now Jim.

As the lads have said, when you send a PM, it goes into your outbox until the other person opens it, it then goes to your sent box. If you delete the PM from your outbox the other person will NOT receive it.

I have sent the PM again to JimB via the pm icon on the bottom of Jims last post.

I have deleted nothing but it still does not appear in any section in my messages.

Learned something new there today, that's completely different to the way Outlook works. On the up side, you can tell when your PMs have been opened.

Jim never got my test message.

He sent one to me and it arrived OK and I have replied to this OK.

So still a problem with me sending a new pm out?

Yes recieved fine. I hope this issue resolves itself to be honest. Theres nothing i can do from the admin sidde to sort out PM issues. The only thing i can do is try log it with the forum software designers
