Page problem
Anybody having trouble accessing pages? I can get the start pages of the threads but can't get on to any follow up pages.
For instance there are 4 pages on the 'Complaints department' in the 'General Chat' section of the pages. I can access Page 1 but that's it - can't access any other pages.
Help

Re: Page problem
Mmmmmmmm, maybe it was just an interim glitch then?
I went up and down through the pages 1, 2, 3, 4, and then randomly 2, 4, 2, 3, 1, 4, and then backwards 4, 3, 2, 1, and it all seemed to be working fine on my Apple Mac at work.
Best just keep an eye on it lads, and let Nicky know if the symptoms persist.

Page problem
Question 1
Is there any way of opening the topic on the current page rather than going back to page 1 when you press a topic?
Question 2
Does everyone have to put the topic heading in before replying to posts, only asking as we didn't do that on the other forum?

Yes, look to the right had side of the link for each topic. Ones with more than one page will have page numbers you can select.daivideo wrote:Question 1

No, I've never done this when replying to a postdaivideo wrote:

Re: Page problem
so the page can't automatically open to the current page like the old forum, you have to manually select which page you require?

Re: Page problem
From the forum homepage, if you click either 'View posts since last visit' in the top left hand corner, or 'Today's active topics' in the bottom left hand corner, it will take you to all of the most recent posts. In the middle of the screen you will see a series of squares next to some of the posts with 1, 2, 3, etc in them. These refer to topics that have more than one page, so what Ryan is suggesting is that you click on the highest number (in the last square) and it will take you to the last page on that particular topic.daivideo wrote:so the page can't automatically open to the current page like the old forum, you have to manually select which page you require?
Is that what you are asking about, or have I got the wrong end of the stick again?
Re: Page problem
I didn't even realise that the old forum did that David. Another forum I use does so I do know what you're getting at

Re: Page problem
I think we've got so used to this new forum software in the space of the last week or so Ryan, that we've forgotten a few little differences that the old forum had. You soon adapt don't you...
Re: Page problem
your right there only differences and things you took for granted on the other forum because it had been going for a while, I'm not having a go at anyone, your doing a great job on this forum Ryan.
