IXO are spoiling the Metro 6R4 collectors... ...AGAIN!

Yes, they have finally released their second long-awaited, and much overdue MG Metro 6R4 model!  

Originally coded RAC116, it has been brought right bang up to date with a new code - RAC116.13 - Oooooooooo, the ingenuity of IXO into making people think that they've only just allocated a new code to this model!  

Anyway here it is, RAC116.13 - MG METRO 6R4 - #23 - Tony Teesdale / Greg Horne - RAC Rally 1986

Just my luck, but same time more motivation to get a job, need 2 of these

They're in the UK NOW mate!  

I only need one, as I already have Vitor's 86 NZ car.  

I need two.

And I have 4 decal sets for it... I have no idea why!

I was talking to Andy earlier today, and we both reckoned that the red will have been sprayed, so it might not be that easily stripable. It's still another version for the ever growing collection however!  

Make it into the pre-rally version, it still had Engine Rebuilders on the side instead of Repco.

I think I just found a use for one of my decal sets.

Would be nice if the red on the roof is oversprayed on the white

I should check which ones I have because I think I have some RAC decals too. Or maybe it's just RAC decals, which would be even worse.

You can't use the RAC model as a base for a Barton, Wood or Shand model, or any other white/red 6R4 I can think of, as the red/white parts never match and you'd still need to paint half the car.

I might buy some more because of the Clubman door mirrors.

It's a big expense just for some mirrors though mate - especially as the RRP is now £39.99!  

£39.99 for a set of mirrors, and you get a free 6R4 with it.

If that's the case the there's hope for atleast 1 code 3 from it. Just need white decals roof vent & different wheels.

The tailgate requires painting (ok, you could decal it, it's just the flat bits), but I'm more worried about the shade of red being different?

Nice find though, I hadn't looked at the more recent 6R4's.
