British Rallycross Croft 27th/28th October
http://www.rallycrossuk.com/documents/British%20title%20on%20the%20line%20at%20Croft.pdf
I know that there has been some interest on these pages regards the British series this year especially due to the likes of Rob Gibson appearing in the Retro series in his 6R4. To this end I thought it a good idea to post this thread especially as the meeting is two days with the final round of the British series on Saturday followed by the British RX Grand Prix on the Sunday. Hopefully going for at least one day so should have some pics weather permitting!

Re: British Rallycross Croft 27th/28th October
Blast! This is one of the few rounds of this year's rallycross championship that I'm not attending, which is bad news, but if I'd been going, I'd have been able to meet up with some more of you guys too! Grrr!
Good to see the name 'Shield' returning to a rallycross entry list. Mike Shield's son, Rob, is following his father's tyre tracks and is taking part in the Swift series.
I'm sure it'll be a great meeting. Have fun!! Cheers Steve

I will probably have some loose models and bits not in boxes with me too so if anyone interested just ask if going to croft as they wont be on display as wandering paws will be about

Re: British Rallycross Croft 27th/28th October
Due to illness striking again I have cancelled the stall.
Feeling a bit ropey the other day took its toll on me and i was back in A+E again due to being short of breath and chest pains.
More blood gas tests and ECG's showed ok but the infection off the pneumonia is still there but not got any worse thankgod so more antibiotics and I should be right.
I didn't feel like standing there for two days taking up and putting down a stall in the cold.
i will be ebaying stuff sometime though

Getting less bothered I'm going to miss this now - especially now that I know you're not going to be there with a stall tempting me to dig deep Mark!
Hope you feel better soon, take care fella...

Thank you Mark - however I've spent a bit too much over the last couple of months as it is.
I'll hold you to your 'good deal' till the next time you have a stall.

Talking of Lurgan Park I have been invited to the ALMC stages to stay with a mate there so now have to decide which to do as there will be a guaranteed one if now two 6R4's there

ive been to almc for the last few years now, great event but no were near the crowds that the park get. in the park the service area is never quiet....the almc is totally different as the stages are a good bit usually from HQ.

Hi Mark,
So sorry to hear you're not out of the woods yet Mark, (sorry Paul, if that brings back bad memories! ) but at least things have been identified and you're on the right medicine. Get yourself well soon!
Hope everyone else going to Crt this weekend has a great meeting. There are now 13 Supercars on the entry list and the Retro Rallycross line up looks interesting. Three Astras competing that haven't been RR'ing before, and even a Polo Coupe! So annoyed I can't be there but I can't be in two places at once. Sometines I feel I can't be in one place at once!!
Have a great weekend of rallycrossing. Cheers, Steve

Re: British Rallycross Croft 27th/28th October
Sadly ended up not going. Had a shite week with redundancy, wife falling and injuring herself and cat going missing (still not returned) so spent too long in the pub on Friday night and came outside to heavy snow so bottled it! If you have ever been to Croft in the summer you will know how biting the wind can be up there so winter is that bit worse! Never mind will have to watch it on Motors now my dish is hooked up.

Re: British Rallycross Croft 27th/28th October
Bloody hell Chris - you certainly seem to be going through some shoite at the moment mate! Sorry to hear about your job, your wife, and your car - fingers crossed that all three will be resolved quickly. Good luck, and take care.
Re: British Rallycross Croft 27th/28th October
Thanks David! It's a cat of the furry feline type not an exhaust part though and am more cut up about that than the other things at the moment!
Regards the job it was on the horizon anyway so am planning to negate that issue as best I can and who knows my plans to be the next Andy Howdle may have to be accelerated!
Missus is on the mend but was a lucky bunny as she didnt have chance to break her fall and took the full impact on the right side of her face. Tough Northern lass

Re: British Rallycross Croft 27th/28th October
Sorry to see the funny side under the circumstances Chris - but I knew you were referring to the feline kind of 'cat'!
However, I re-read my post once I'd read your own, and lo and behold I had actually typed 'car'! Can I put that down to a mere typo in the heat of the moment, and the fact that the 'r' key is right next to the 't' key! What a tw4t!
The 'next Andy Howdle' sounds interesting mate - put me down for one of each of your 6R4s will you?
Best wishes on finding your 'furry feline', and that your 'lucky bunny' regains her good looks.

Glad to see Godfrey won the title. Looks like Doran was involved in some more off circuit excursions...
