Need help scratch building interior
Was just wondering if you guys prefer to "build" interior of a bare rally car with putty, or do you all do most with sheet/tube styrene? I need to tackle the Golf3 kits Norev based interior here soon,.......mainly rear strut towers/quarter panel inside .
thanks for thoughts,
Dave

Re: Need help scratch building interior
When i converted a Norev Citroen DS3 into an Citroen DS3 R3 rally model, i used the interior of a Solido Citroen C2 and modified it to fit.
I used the logic that it would be pretty similar layiut for both cars and they are a the same kind if size.
Other than that, ive only had to do basic modifications such as dashboard conversiins etc

thanks Brian,
i do have a Hotwheels Lancer "parts" donor, but all parts seem off scale for the smaller interior of the Golf.I watched some threads of a gentleman who was converting a Prodrive Golf and ill take some hints from that .Appreciate your thoughts,
Dave

Re: Need help scratch building interior
Id suggest a smaller car, somethibg cheap like a burago focus for the cage etc and build on from there.
Omer was putting some serious work into that golf before he decided to take a break from modelling. He did complete an awesome escort cosworth which is another great read. If you search for threads started by Omer Yetis on this forum you should find both
