Poor discipline from this guy's service crew saw his Fabia R5 go up in flames before the rally has even started! Spilled fuel and power tools never a good mix!

OOOOPPSS!!
Shows why you should always have a fire extinguisher(s) close at hand. They could have had that out very quickly then.

You are so right as once those things get properly going there is little to stop them with today's eco friendly extinquishers. Expect there to be a vacancy for a competent service crew!

Meeke fastest on shakedown and Neuville in the lead after the opening street stage with the famous tunnels. Think there could be plenty of bent metal after this weekend as seem to be several drivers with a lot to prove!

Yes correct...our AFFF Fire Extuingishers are useless......Haylon or BCF would have it out in no time..........but they are BAD for the enviroment!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Sal the 2nd wrote:Chris

Re: Rally Mexico 2018
Loeb dropped down the order a little bit but what a run. Sunday looks like a shootout between Kris and the other Seb!

Not sure where you have got the actual top ten finishers from. On the wrc site it says
That is a fantastic result for Brit Gus Greensmith in 9th, with down in Lappi 11th and Suninen 12th

Re: Rally Mexico 2018
Great result for Seb 2 but clearly Seb 1 still has it - i would have liked to see him win it ( i think)
I see Seb 2 lost his power stage points for hitting a chicane but M-Sport are appealing

No problem a bit of dyslexia of the fingers.
If Loeb had won it would have set the cat amongst the pigeons and heaped a bit of pressure on the Citroen drivers by saying there is nothing wrong with the car.

Re: Rally Mexico 2018
lol i think mines just old age m8, no excuses
meeke seems to have had another rush of blood to the head but id be happy if he had a season of podiums to mature a bit...the odd win gets overshadowed by inconsistency unfortunately....i believe he has potential to challenge ogier if he can learn to temper his enthusiasm a tad... but then again i could be wrong lol!!

Re: Rally Mexico 2018
Absolutely, with Loeb putting in such strong performance it really does put the pressure on the other Citroen drivers to say there is not much wrong with the car, so lets get on with it.
So we all hope Kris can put together run of good results. Clearly he is quick, so lets do a Burnsie and go for percentages - to finish first you first have to finish.
But sadly like Hirvonen, Latvala et all they were around on the championship at the same time as two of the very best. The rest dont get many chances to win.
