Rally Sweden 2017
Bit surprised there was no thread for this but maybe everyone is over there watching?
Anyway interesting event. The Yaris won proving the doubters (me being one of them to be honest) that it would be on the pace so soon. Nice to see JML back on the top step and un-surprising to see Haninen in the trees again, being a Finn wont protect him for ever even in this team. Both Citroens didn't exactly shine and worrying noises from both drivers about movement in the back end of the new car and Kris having another off-road excursion. Neuville must be in bits having chucked another big lead away however the Hyundai does seem a bit fragile. Fords up there so looking like the rest of the season could be pretty good. Ironic though that after all the hype from the FIA and the promoters about the speed of the new cars that at least one stage was cancelled due to fears about the speed the cars would be doing on it!

Re: Rally Sweden 2017
Neatly summarised and I was just about to post similar. Could be an interesting season. Neuville looks quick in the Hyundai - the other Hyundai drivers not quite getting to grips with the car yet. I fancy Ford for the manufacturers based on the first 2 events, but the drivers looks wide open.

Re: Rally Sweden 2017
don't think you know your rally Sweden history there lol!
2005 Solberg
2006-7 Gronholm
2008 Latvala
2010-11 Hirvonen
2012 Latvala
2013 Sebastien lol
Do you mean the first time since 2014 that Ogier has not led the wrc?
Must say I'm expecting Toyota to fall off a cliff next event when Latvala is first on the road

Re: Rally Sweden 2017
lol michael what was i drinking?!!! things always make more sense next day lol!! i was having a convo about chances of someone winning wrc this year other than ogier.....its the championship i meant lol!!
though looking at meeke and the citroen, theres more chance of another ogier win than a first for kris!!
must say its good to see toyota in the mix anyway, adds another element at least...
