McRae Subarus

I have finally got all the McRae Subarus out lined up in the display box ready for Race Retro.

40 Legacy and Imperzas so far. Not quite half of all the Subarus Colin drove.

Lining them all up does show quite a difference from decal and model makers with regard to the exact colour of the yellow 555 or ( ))) logos.

The early cars are a possibly a darker yellow, then it seems to have changed to a yellow and then to a much bighter yellow.

Photographs can be deceptive depending on lighting conditions.

So my question is - How many changes of yellow were there on the 555 and ( ))) logos and when did the change happen event/year.

Non florescent upto end of 96 555 cars. Florescent WRC era 97 onwards. Will check on the shades on the weekend.

Any model of the Safari Vivio produced?

IXO make a 1:43 model of a rally Vivio in various liveries. Sadly not the McRae version. I asked Andy at Rally Models if they would but he felt it was unlikely.

It was one I was going to look at but not had any time to get it all done.

There is a 1:64 version of the McRae car sold in a set of 6 McRae cars. Not sure if its available separatly.

If I remember I will post a photo of it in the morning
