Dave

With all resin kits you must make sure that the body is clean of all releasing agent used in the making.

Thoroughly clean the body inside and out I have always used Jif kitchen cream cleaner and an old tootbrush, you might need something stronger. Give it a good scrub over and then wash clear with hot water and washing up liquid.

Use car primer, white or grey and add two or three coats and carefully rub down the last coat.

If you spray the first coat and the paint starts to look like its on wax, stop and clean the body up even more

Use real car paint for main colour out of a can or spray gun.

Use 3 or 4 coats lightly rubbing down between each.

Personally I only use lacquer on metallic paints

Huimbrol for all detail work

Good luck

What Chris said. Have found out to my own cost when i havent cleaned the resin properly and its still got releasing agent present. Instead of Jif I use a spray can of body shop degreaser as that also works well.
