New Irish Rally Book

I have just got notification from Rodney McComb that his book on Irish Rally stages has just been published - available on Amazon. I have sent the flier he sent me by email to a few people so if one of those is so inclined they might please copy it on here. Note to self - I must extract digit and learn how to post piccies on here !!

If anyone heres about pre-ordering the Fisher and Meagher books post up here, definately see those selling out fast.

Check out http://bertiefisher.com to keep up to date with details of the book and the launch night. I have sent Fergus a message regarding pre ordering so will post details when I hear back from him.

Book arrived in today's mail, which is quite rapid. Some lovely old photos including one of my old sparring partner Paddy O and his beetle (not the famous one).
I have been dipping in and out of it and there are more than a few errors - CB seems to be driving Demi Fitzs escort at one stage or should I say on one stage, Bones O'Connor died on another page and for the locals the best bit is where John Coleman (Billys brother) played hurling for Kerry.

Ordered my copy the other day and it arrived very quickly in two days.

Facinating book lots of intersting stuff.

There are a few unfortunate caption errors on

page 24 the Escort is actually Russell Brookes in an early liveried Andrews Heat for Hire Mk1 Escort (AHFH is on the back window)

page 27 where it states that the car is a Vauxhall Magnum, but is actually a Cresta and verified as such on page 50

and on page 160 a wrong caption completely

Nice story about Esler Crawford

Having said all of the above the book has some really nice photos and covers something completely different to the usual rally books.

Thoroughly recommend Stage by Stage to other rally enthusiasts.

Just noticed the Fisher Book launch has been postponed until 9th Jan 2016.

Anyone have a date for the Meagher Book?
