Nice work Graham - it takes a lot of balls to tackle such a one off project like this. Fair play to you for having a go.
Looking forward to seeing it finished mate.

Interesting model - good work!!
I can confirm that Pat Doran was competing at Lydden Hill yesterday, rallycrossing the ex-Kenneth Hansen European Rallycross Championship winning Citroen Xsara. He made it to the Supercar A-Final. So much action happened in such a short space of time I can't confirm the result! Rallycross is the best - so much action and you can see it all happening!! Even if you can't remember everything about it the following day!

I'm positive this is an often repeated debate, and this thread is possibly the wrong place to do it, but I agree with you totally Mark - rallycross has everything rallying and racing has but it's altogether at one single spectator friendly venue!
I went to loads of meetings in the late 80s and early 90s when the Group B 'monsters' ruled the roost, and they were some of, if not THE, most competitive events that I have ever seen.
British rallycross always seems to have struggle to live up to those days.
I really must 'push on' with my own rallycross model projects - watch this space!

Guys,
Thinking of 'watching with interest'.... the rallycross meeting at Lydden last Saturday is due to be televised next weekend on the 'Motors' channel and then a few weeks later on Channel 4 in their early hours of Sunday morning slot, about 7.00 ish.
Keep 'em peeled - the action was superb. Close racing, some real 'heart-in-mouth' moments too. As soon as anyone spots the time on terrestial C4, please let us all know!
Cheers, Steve

Rallycross Video - Lydden Hill 24 March 2012
Dear All,
Given there's some interest in rallycross on this thread (and without wishing to hijack it), please find a link to a video of last Saturday's action at Lydden Hill.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PnCVABWTFmo
The video was taken and edited by my old school chum Jason's son, James. I think he's done a great job, although there's music over the proper soundtrack in the most part. Still well worth the watch, gives you a taste of the action.
Cheers, Steve

Televised Rallycross
Something to watch out for!
The recent opening round of the british Rallycross Championship from Lydden Hill is on Channel 4 on Saturday, 7.25 -7.55am.
Coincidentally, there is a European rallycross meeting at Lydden over the Easter weekend - check the internet for dates and times - but this shoud be an excellent, action-packed event with the best of the European competitors fighting it out over here along with the home-grown talent.
Shame I can't get there myself, but, set your recorders now!! Steve

Thanks Mark. That's great news and frustrating news in equal doses. Who do I know who has Sky?!
Hope that some highlights make their way to Channel 4! Cheers, Steve
