Otto 6R4 available for pre order

Just put my pre-order in. Anyone else done so yet? Silly question I guess!

yeah mines in too, just the wait now to see if its been received/filled in correctly/acknowledged/successful !!!!

Eh?! I see the words '6R4' and 'Preorder' and I'm getting twitchy! What am I missing out on?

Lovely model, but 1/18 scale!

Way too large for me - Mrs Caught already makes the odd comment about the size of my collection, and they're all 1/43 scale. I better not get into the bigger models or I'll be looking for a display cabinet to put myself in, somewhere at the bottom of the garden!

My aunt saw all the 6R4's lined up in the cabinet, "Why do you need 26 identical cars??" Reply: "Because they're not identical!"

Just registered with the ottomobile club, so fingers crossed

ah col, i wondered what the clearout was all about!!!

just got an email from otto saying my form was wrong, needs my surname and membership number, even though i signed my name in full in the box AND put my membership number beside it!!!
not sure now if i'm in or not.............

Which is good news as the price has gone DOWN ! Which out of interest, prices too have gone down for new IXO and Trofeu releases. Also announced today, in 1/18 scale, the Escort RS Cosworth roadcar in red, at £82....

It would indeed Paul - most definitely!

However, the only problem I see is that the Otto casting is actually resin, making it very much harder to strip and to 'Code 3' or personally convert into something else. There may be the opportunity that someone might convince Otto to make other versions of the model, but in reality it might actually be their only 6R4 model release, as they do indeed tend to favour the French entrants.

Anyway, I had an email today stating...

'Dear OttOmobile Club member ,
We have dudy received your reservation. Thank you.
Please note that your booking will be confirmed only if we get your payment BEFORE the limit date.'

...so I'm well chuffed!
