1/18 Ford Escort Mk 2 Daniel McKenna Monaghan Rally 2012

Customer got in contact with me 7 weeks ago looking to get this car done for early June. Time was tight but since I like this car i decided to take it on as I could also make one for myself. I managed to get the artwork drawn before the base arrived, scaled it to fit and sent off to the printer. Converted the base to RHD, swopped over the wipers, fitted proper wheels and seats and built a modern roll cage (using the plastic from cotton buds, its the perfect size for the original cage in the car).

By the time that was all finished the decals were back so got them fitted. Everything needed a white underlayer to stop the blue showing through, and lessons learned for next time. This is now with the customer but looking forward to getting my own built once my own base arrives. This is the first of many projects I will be wrapping up once the next set of decals arrive from the printers

Thanks guys. Was mid way through decaling and thought it would end up rubbish. First time ive done a non white car with so many big decals but it turned out OK. Looking forward to getting my own finished. Need more of these wheels as ive used up all of the ones I bought

No plans for it at all at the moment. Dont know availability of the wheels in that scale either
