Re: Forum dead even at weekend!!
Steve,
Don't fret! You're not alone.
With the weather making a good attempt to improve and with more motorsport events occuring now, I guess it's to be expected that less of us are around online. A week ago, I was at Lydden Hill enjoying a superb weekend of rallycross action, so was a long way from the PC, in every sense.
Hang on in there, buddy!
Cheers, Steve

Re: Forum dead even at weekend!!
Steve, I know the feeling only too well.
Mine are now 18 and almost 16 so are a bit more 'off the leash' than when they were younger. In many ways, I feel like I'm getting some of my old life back again, after almost 2 decades!!!
Yes, the chains will come off, eventually. I can remember referring to my parents as 'empty nesters', a marketing term I'd picked up back then, and now realise that in a short while, my wife and I could be empty nesters ourselves!
Enjoy them whilst you can, Steve!! Cheers, Steve

Doh! Of course!!!
Looking forward to seeing the pics. Is he still running the basically white colour scheme with Mace Energy sponsorship? Should make for a straight-forward build, which would make a change!
How was the event for you, Chris?
Cheers, Steve

Yes. Hard to attend to everything all the time. Had a great day at the Circuit of Kerry. Good to see Breen in the T16. Shame he had the off. The Circuit of Ireland is next. Unfortunately, James o Brien , often on here had to run under Super Rally today, in Roy Whites MG ZR.

Re: Forum dead even at weekend!!
I check in from time to time. However I seem to be rallying now more that ever (6 rallies already this year) with what looks like another 19 (at least) in the pipeline for the rest of 2014. Hence my weekends are a tad busy.
As ever I am too computer illiterate to post pics up here.
My credit card is breathing a sigh of relief that the likes of Beaney and others have departed the scene or are not as active as they used to be as I could not resist the ebay temptations they were highlighting week in, week out.
I am still collecting - Piotr in Poland has just done the Owen Murphy Evo 9 and I am still chasing builders for the Coleman M3's, the Alan Ring Evo 9, McAleenan Escort/Manta/240RS as well as continuing to expand my Rothmans and BMW M3 collections.
The 1964 monte collection for the Hopkirk Gala kept both me and my wallet busy since Christmas.
I have a major diorama project started , more of which anon.
So I haven't gone away.
James

Re: Forum dead even at weekend!!
It is a little quicker here lately, but I put that down to people not collecting anymore. 2 of the top 10 posters dont collect anymore, and more have cut back on buying.
I know myself I have havnt bought lately but nothing much has come up that i like.

Re: Forum dead even at weekend!!
There are quite a few of the original people who used to post alot gone quiet. McM, Cazzo and Beaney have all but gone Haven't heard nothing from Jimmy or Bob 6r4 in ages. David (cowley) is only on once in a while and Mark Lowe is not on here so much either these days. All where very active at one time but as times change and people move on to different things the forum is one thing that has suffered.
Must also say that the model maker have gone very quiet as well. Nothing seems to have been produced of late in code3. I think this is to the economic down turn.
Hopefully things will pick up and we will get a bit of banter back.
Having said all that. I'm on some groups on FB and they are very quiet at the moment as well so it's not just here?
