Sorted now Rob Thanks
Just to keep everyone up to date, we now have reached the €400/£300 mark in the forum funds so keep the ideas coming. Not quite enough at the moment to make a significant donation to charity but whatever we decide we can go with.

Re: Forum Membership from March 1st 2014. Payment button added
That time of year again folks. Funds have been building up and while it costs a little to run the forum and keeps it ad free, we have extra left over which keeps building each year.
Its at a point now where we need to spend it on something. With work and a new baby, i dont have the time to put into finding the best way to spend it. Anyone have some extra time to spare to either use this money to create a new forum model or promote the forum in some way?

I have zero inspiration so in the absence of other better shouts, I go with the Billy house move fund proposal, or alternatively, another Charity
Is it my imagination or do some of the model meets such as the Millstreet one which people on this forum play a lead role in have a charity angle?

All depending on how much is in the kitty but would a couple of pop up banners be any good for shows/exhibitions??
Re: Forum Membership from March 1st 2014. Payment button added
According to prices on vistaprint we could purchase a few of those roller banners. Might be an option to have 2 in ireland and 2 in the UK.
Other option is to give to charity but, with so many members spread out across Ireland, UK and europe which charity is another question

Peter's idea is a good one. Use some money to get some banners and some more leaflets done etc this year then look what money is available again next year and see where the group goes from there.
Steve is out and about all year with his rally cross display. Perfect place to promote if he didn't mind.
You have Mill street your end which I know you put flyers out but the banners are more visible.
Plenty of things going on during the year. Possible other idea in my head but I would have to ask first.

If you let me have a look into the pop up banners, I might be able to find a cheaper source than Vistaprint, Brian. No promises though, but just don't rush into anything....
I think having two in Ireland and two in the UK is a great idea, and a very useful promotional tool - along with the flyers. We are not at Race Retro this year, but that was another opportunity to use the banners if we had something available at the time, as was the recent HRCR Open Day at Gaydon.

I have a friend in the sign writing/promotional game, does banners, pop ups, hats, badges balloons, pens, stickers, flasks, mugs....you name it and he does it..................oh he owns a Metro 6R4* too and an Ascona.
I'll give him a shout on Monday and get a ball park price on them, anyone want to start designing the artwork for them??
*Brian has created a model of this Metro but with slightly different livery when it was driven by a WRC driver
