scaling up to 1/18th
Anybody know what is the percentage on a pdf you scale to for 1/18 for custom printing
Wanna try something to see if it works

alan.....1:43 to 1:18 is 238% enlargement on printer...but be aware m8 that some decals will not fit perfectly...its an inescapable issue with most upscaling....all panels scale precisely ,from one scale to another....

Re: scaling up to 1/18th
here you go m8....and yes its the same for aall models, with the precaution that I mentioned above..eg a bonnet decal might be perfect but the rear quarter-panel might be too small..you may have then to increase the enlargement for this one...its trial error and luck m8....
To scale from 1/24 to 1/18, scale by 133%
To scale from 1/24 to 1/43, scale by 59%
To scale from 1/18 to 1/43, scale by 42%
To scale from 1/18 to 1/24, scale by 75%
To scale from 1/43 to 1/24, scale by 179%

forgot to add alan that in some cases you will lose sharpness when enlarging...depending on quality of original 43 decal.....

Re: scaling up to 1/18th
These are the mathematical scalings needed and in an ideal world they would be perfect.
However models are rarely an exact representation of the real car so there will be differences in between scales. Also if the decals are not the correct size in 1/43, even by 1mm, this will only be exaggerated on the scaled up decals and be 2.38mm out. Its a great starting point when converting to different scales, but should really be followed up by refining each decals size.
