You'll never guess who's back....

....Yeah it's only me  

Here's what I've been up to over the last month or so....
I've been flat out with the 9to5 job working twice as hard for half the money!!
Training for a few cycle events, some mountain bike and some road events, the last one was a 85mile lap round Lough Neagh!!  

Now that all the events are over I can now get back to working through the backlog of model work,
I had a go at doing a few models but with limited time I had to rush them and the quality was poor so they are first on the list to redo this weekend,

So that's enough about me lol.... hope you've all been keeping well while I've been away

Hi Colin,

Welcome back!! Like you, I've tried fininshing models quickly and regretted it. Takes even longer and is far more frustrating removing and redoing something that didn't go quite right the first time coz' you're in a hurry! One step forward, two steps backwards!  

Interesting you mention Lough Neagh. I walked up it before dawn with a mate of mine about 14 years ago so we could see the sunrise from the top. We got to the summit, had a wonderful view,   then 30 seconds later the clouds closed i and that was it for the day!  

It was brilliant watching the faces of the early-morning hikers climbing the mountain and seeing their faces drop as these two blokes strolled down from the top and they realised they weren't going to be the first ones to the top that day!

Colin, you're right. The view was stunning... for the 30 seconds we could see it from the very top!   We got to enjoy a superb vista whilst we were climbing up but I'd waited to take any pictures until reaching the summit. I wasn't quick enough before the clouds rolled in. The weather can certainly change quickly!!

Whatever you do, don't move to the Shetlands! The locals say if you don't like the weather up there, wait 5 minutes!
