Hello Rally Fans!

Hi All,

I am Marco, I am from Portugal but currently living in UK.

I am a big fan of 1/24 rally model kits and I used to build them since I was little. On the last few years my time has been very limited and I became more collector and doing less and less…

Now I intend to start a new rally car collection in 1:43 scale! This forum was recommended by a friend and I am excited to explor it!

hi marco, welcome aboard m8!............are you sure you want to go down from 1:24 to 1:43? you could always go the other way? how does 1:18 sound?   (i have to try to persuade you before all the '43 brigade' members notice lol!!

welcome to the forum, and yes you are at the right spot for rally collections. Majority of this forum is collecting and custom building 1/43 and some 1/18...
hope you share your 1/24 builds with us in here as well as your new 1/43 collection

Hi mates,

I really don't want to say that I have abandoned completly the ideia of making 1/24 cars however I won't make all as I was planning to. The problem with 1/24 scale is the fact that some good brands like Tamiya or Hasegawa don't make many Rally cars and to find some models it is hard work. Also, it more and more dificult (and expensive) to buy some transkits, some models are so rare and diffcult to find...

A while ago I was looking for some kits and i have to admit that I was realy impressed with some 1/43 cars details... it didn't take too long to convince me to start a new collection...

m8 there are all variations of model catered for on here, mostly diecast, and mostly 1:43 but there are a couple of guys who make or have made 1:24 kits too.....i'm sure some of them will post on this thread soon enough....
