risky? time will tell
ok, just done something a wee bit risky, but time will tell........... model was listed on fleabay, didnt sell, offered guy fair price for it afterwards, he accepted only if through paypal to his own account and as a gift to save fees... i accepted and sent money but notice that money to 'friends or family' is not protected by paypal guarantees , so i've a long sweat on to see if it comes or not.................. from spain!

Re: risky? time will tell
It is a risky move Billy, but i dont think sending as a gift has ever been covered by paypal.
I have done similiar in the past and they did arrive no problems. Guy had 4 Autoart Corollas that i bought for less than 2 normally fetch so the risk was worth it. Best of luck billy

I've taken risks like that before and it's always paid off.
Probably taken years off my life in stress and worry, but hey if you gotta have it, you gotta have it!
Sincerest Good Luck with it fella!

Re: risky? time will tell
ok, model arrived today............................perfect!!!!
model surrounded by foam padding, still with transit straps, AA box wrapped in cellophane, then placed in strong cardboard box packed with rolled up newspaper....not a mark, totally chuffed with an excellent service....all the way from spain too!
pity we dealt outside e-bay so i cant leave feedback, but almost good enough to put in the'what bargains have you got lately?' thread ......as-new Autoart S9 plain version for 90 euros delivered.....not cheap but not too bad....

Great news Billy
Great price delivered as well. These autoart subarus are just so expensive though.
Trust us to collect Irish models, that just happen to be the most expensive bases out there. Irish rally drivers couldnt be considerate and buy Xsaras and 206's that are a dime a dozen, NO!, they have to drive subarus/escorts cosworths/wrcs that are getting hard to find.
Wait, maybe its our fault they are hard to find
