I've got a few 6R4's of late. All at very good prices and a nice set of rare decals    Decals and base cars will be going to Derby to spend some time with DC. I want them built properly. I would butcher them

1/18 Toyota Corolla - Aust '98 for the princely sum of AUD15 inc postage. Pretty sure the postage and ebay fees would have sucked up the $15 lol

just got a Ricko 1:18 Merc 500slc 1980 ivory coast rally for £37............plus £17 postage from Europe,,,,,,,,,,,been after this for ages, when they do appear it can be silly money, so chuffed as its one of the few 1:18 rally cars I had not got.......I know the quality aint top-notch but a hole in my collection has at last been filled!!     

I thought they only did the Safari version.

mal I need to go back to bed........... that's about he 3rd post/pm I've written already today where i'm talking cr_p!!!!   

(its either nightshifts or old age, m8, not sure which one!!)

All good. You did have me going though. Thought I had missed one. The main problem with that car is the number decal on the roof. Should be the same size as the door plates.
 
The car I want is the Safari Volvo. Even the non Safari version but the Safari is the beeknees

think i'm right in saying its listed often as 1981 safari, when its actually the 1980 ivory coast rally....bjorn drove a number 3 in the 1980 safari....... I think so anyway!!   
i'll get a look at the number  when she gets here hopefully!

1980......safari rally.....Waldegard.......Mercedes 450 SLC..........entry number 3..............finished........... 10th

1980.....ivory coast rally......Waldegard......Mercedes 500 SLC.........entry number 8........finished............1st

1981.....safari rally..........no result found, either retired or didn't enter

1981....ivory coast........Waldegard...............Toyota Celica 200GT....entry number 3...............dnf (engine failure)

so if that's right, the model has been listed wrongly by just about every seller I've ever seen!! lol!!! of course this could all change when it gets here and I see whats actually written on the flamin' thing!!!

model partly fixed. Needs to get rid of front number plate and I think it needs hand holds on the boot area. Plus get rid of sunroof panel lines. But then you have to match the silver paint.

Oh, and the Ivory Coast rally was also known as the Bandama Rally.

do you think they used then massive roof decal to hide the sunroof lines, and save retooling the die?

I have seen photos of a replica. Think Gerard may be friends with him. The initial photos I| saw had the large number. They may have used that car as their guide without really researching.
