Ryan_C's projects
May as well start a projects thread on here. I have a load of stuff on the go at the moment, but here's something I've been at in the sidelines:
Looks a bit different now though!

Lovely - nothing like a bit of retro . Who/what's the finished Mini going to be?

Planning something special for this one Ted. Not exactly a rally car as such but should still be relevant

Didn't see that coming either, had thought it might be an Autotest car but didn't think it would be a topless Mini. I suppose the clue was when he said "Planning something Special". So whose Special are you doing Ryan?
Re: Ryan_C's projects
very different ryan with the mini, looking forward too seeing it finished now!

Brilliant, Ryan. Fantastic idea. Certainly wasn't expecting that!
Well - who's is it? Carnegie, Ken Irwin, maybe Felix?

Re: Ryan_C's projects
Thanks lads. Planning to make Ken Irwin's one, seeing how he's from Castlederg too. Depending on how this turns out I might do one of Robin Lyons' as well.
I've never seen one done before so thought it would be something different to try. Progress might not be that quick though as it's on the back burner until I get some other stuff out of the way.

You have me thinking about something now........not a special anyways but maybe a Mini Saloon or two and maybe a Nova. Have had a few people with Retro Rally cars mention I should do up some of their cars for my collection too. Think I may have a serious rummage in the autojumble at Race Retro n Friday and Saturday.
Oh you may do one of John Lyons' old autotest cars too
Re: Ryan_C's projects
That is a cracking idea Ryan, completely different too. Looking forward to seeing how it works out.

Re: Ryan_C's projects
Haven't updated this thread in ages, been mainly building stuff for others since. Stripped this one down last night for myself. Anyone want to have a guess what the plan is?

Re: Ryan_C's projects
Cheers Gary.I wanted to do an auto test car for a long time. Hasn't got any further forward since though. The subarus were done for a customer. Didn't get to keep any unfortunatly!
It's not from these shores Paul. Silver 11 spokes to go on still

That is some decal job there Ryan, you must have an abundance of patience to see it through. Well done it quite simply looks brilliant!
