mcm motorsport projects part 1

picked this up again this evening,stripped the bad decals all off again,another set ordered and working away on it again.
prob just hadnt my mind on the job today,slow but getting there. hissy fit over! lol

To be fair, his other breen decals werent the best either. A bit oversized, but still make a good model. Havnt ordered decals yet but if the base is modified evo 2 (or 3 i forget which) will these still fit?

as long as its the same base they should,the 1 im using is altaya,nelson told me in an email this was the base he used for sizing the decals! not great sizing still tbh!
yeah when i built eh breen fiesta it was something i commented on after fitting the 1st few decals on the rear bumper....i was starting to run outta room!

the only advice i can give bob really is this: althou the decals are pre-cut, cut them out as if they were'nt,that way you can size the decal to the car,there is bits that need trimmed to allow them to fit round arches, plus alot of the decals have a clear rim round them which you dont see until you fit onto the decal and then it stands out a mile!! real annoying!! you'll find decals on the bumpers that need to sit uptight to each other to allow to get them onto the model whereas on the 1/1 car theres aload of space around the decals,again not greatly sized. the large blue side decals will need plenty of heat from a hairdryer to get them to sit down into the creases....made a tad thick i thought.
ive 1 side complete and put it away again,building a model with jf decals at the mo.....completely different!
best of luck anyway,its possible to do just needs time and patience.....ive got plenty of 1 of them at the mo!
