Will be interesting to see the rrp of the Senna car. Guess once the cat is out of the bag that there will be lots of the "original" hitting Ebay!

Exactly Chris, so I doubt we'll see too many more of the £70-80+ original Senna cars. Sell, sell, sell.....

I also wondered what the price of the NEW Senna Collection release would be, and also what the figures (plural) might also be? OK, Ayrton Senna will be one himself, but maybe a photographer as well, or some Welsh forest wildlife perhaps?

Or a background consisting of a 1/43 scale Escort, Golf, Nova and Sierra. Expensive set.

Didn't Phil Collins drive on the test session aswell. Maybe a figure of him?

He might well have been present Chris, and taken Ayrton out for a test drive in the Cossie, but I'm pretty sure the Brazilian did the vast majority of the actual driving.

Think he did take Senna for a drive in the cossie. Can remember reading something about how scared Senna was at the side of Collins thinking he was mental behind the wheel

Cant wait for both, I have the senna car but another will be nice, afterall it says it has figures

Interesting that Ixo are doing a run of Senna models as guess they will have to pay the Senna Foundation quite a lot of money for the privelige however they already have a Golf GTI and Sierra Cosworth moulding so all they need to do is the Nova and Alan Edwards 4WD Escort MK3 and the CCC test set is complete! I am a little surprised that they have gone down this route however as Minichamps are well into a Senna collection so guess they wont be so happy, but Mchmps would have never moulded the 6R4 so what the heck?!

Dont know if anyone else has noticed that 2 of the F1 cars are going to be resin and 1/18th scale!

I said the exact same thing earlier this evening Chris, which makes you wonder how much the Senna 6R4 + diorama + figures will actually sell for?

Apparantley Ixo have now taken over from Minichamps as the sole Senna collection provider..

I have even posted the following question on IXO's Facebook page in an attempt to glean some information...

Can IXO Models please tell me when they are realistically expecting to release the two 1986 Lombard RAC Rally MG Metro 6R4 models please - RAC116 : Tony Teesdale, and RAC182 : Harri Toivonen?

All of us '6R4 nuts' have been waiting more years than I can possibly remember for some new 6R4 models, and surely it cannot be that difficult or time consuming when all of the tooling is already in existence!

The ballix's had the cheek to like my photo but didn't comment!!

The Teesdale & Toivonen cars have been allocated an IXO RAC___ number for God knows how many years now - I'm too old to remember! Put it one way, the Teesdale car was given number RAC116, and they are up to RAC228 now according to their site!

It's not even like they need ANY new tooling - IT ALL EXISTS!!!!!!!

I'd love to know who does their research on what model to do or says when a model is to be released,
If that person/team were to float about the model forums they would have a better idea of what customers/collectors want,
I naively thought their Facebook page would be a good way to communicate with them.... turns out it's just another advertising tool from the marketing department!!
