When I saw the New Stig's driving style I said to my mate it was a rally driver and it looked like Meeke.... maybe there's more to it

2013 RALLY GB

Kris Meeke & James May in a Bentley Continental GT on the SS2 Hafren Sweet Lamb stage. They ran after the main cars and the National B rally and before the second run through of the main cars.

This was a for a future Top Gear programme with Kris Meeke driving and James May in the passenger seat.

We had two Bentley workers spectating with us. One had helped build the car, but they had know idea what it was all for until the day. The car was prepared by Bentley with some slight engine modifications, with a sump guard added??, but with no roll bar. Both wore crash helmets for the run.

We were helping on the B System radio tracking the cars through the stage and this is what we heard over the radios - they have arrived at the start of the stage and are now facing the wrong way – for a piece to camera from James May. They are on the start line and off – no they are back again - they are on the start line and off – no they are back again, this happened about three times. They did the whole stage with a helicopter following and set a pretty reasonable time that would have had them well up with leaders in the National B Rally.
