Hello from Scotland
I'm a 1-43 diecast collector, a bit of a Rootesaholic (longstanding tribal loyalties because my dad worked for them from the 50s to the 80s so I grew up with Minxes, Imps, Hunters, Avengers etc) and one of the admins at imcdb (Internet Movie Car Database - http://www.imcdb.org/ - a good resource for checking liveries with a lot of rallying pictures buried in the collection - all contributors welcome in helping improve the identifications and info). Have also just done a series for Diecast Collector magazine on all the 1:43 diecast Cortinas I can find any trace of - the next issue (dated September 2012 but published end of July - the strange world of cover dates) will have 6 pages on all the rally liveries; any comments/omissions/corrections welcome. And in real life I'm a bald and bearded archaeologist.

Naaah - we leave them for future generations to discover when they have better scientific techniques. But I have worked on a chariot burial, which had enough exotic fittings to suggest it was the Lancia Stratos of its day, and would have been a 4 hp version.newt5550 wrote:Ever dug up any rally cars?
