Skoda Fabia S2000 - 1;32 Scale (SlotCar)

Some of you may have spotted on my introduction posts that i have been making a brand new model for my collection.

Frustrated by the lack of major manufacturers not making this super little rally car (probably THE most sucsessfull rally car of recent times) i decided to commision my own.

I asked a master model maker to make the master for me from hundreds of photos and a few key dimensions and several months later and following several alterations and additions/changes the master was ready. I then had fifty bodies pulled off in resin, along with wings, clear windows and photo etched wing end plates.

I finally managed to prep, prime and base paint five bodies this weekend (hasn't the weather been rubbish!).

Decals tonight (my own work).

Car is 1;32 Scale - designed to fit onto an off the shelf donor car from SCX giving 4 wheel drive and also providing the wheels, interior, figures, windscreen wipers and a few other bits.

Excellent work you have done so far. Looking forward to seeing it finished.

Well it took a while (what with work and family getting in the way!), but the first car is finished!







I learnt alot from this first application and there are a couple of errors on the decals (since ammended) - but unless your a real Skoda nut i bet you can't tell! The only thing i never managed to get was a decent photo of the actual rally plate from this event - they are almost impossible to re-draw as it's (i think) a photo from the previous year's winning car - anyone got one?

My hand painting skills are not upto much so the red key line around the wheels/base is not very good - i'm sure others will do better!

Seb Oiger livery is next - part done - thought i had it finished (decals wise) and then saw another photo so re-printing the decals today.
