Absolutely gutted. Another young talent in rallying who's life has been cut short. Thoughts and prayers with Gareths family and with Craig and the team!!

those rails should be there to save our lives! not to take them. I lost count of the accidents occur due to these guard rails.
I am wondering when someones going to pay attention and try to fix this problem!

Rallying - and it's Irish community in particular - certainly seem to be going through some very dark and sombre times recently! RIP to Gareth Roberts, yet another young talent gone! Thoughts and prayers to his family and close friends. RIP

Personally I think that photo should be removed from here Rob, as I don't think the forum should really be showing a photo of the car out of respect to Gareth, his family, his close friends, and Craig himself.

Even worse that the IRC uploaded a video to their website yesterday afternoon - and quite obviously they then received a great deal of angry complaints about via their Facebook page, including mine!...

It is shockingly insensitive of you (the IRC) to upload the video of Craig's & Gareth's accident to your website! By doing so you have caused untold grief and heartache to Gareth's family, close friends, and Craig himself. Wake up IRC, realise the error of your ways, sack the individual(s) responsible, and then apologise wholeheartedly for your crass and insensitive behavior!

RIP gareth. it was with great sadness i heard the news while at the donegal rally. all the drivers/co-drivers,marshalls,time keepers etc etc was shocked and saddened to hear the news.
